It’s raining in the nation’s capital and its all President Donald Trump’s fault. Secretly, in some unknown alphabet agency laboratory, the special republican controlled weather manipulation team is twiddling the dials and threatening the very existence of the entire planet.
Science must not have been one of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s favorite classes because scientific facts mean nothing to her. She also must have been doing her nails in English class because she never learned what the definition of the word “unprecedented” is.
“Unprecedented flooding is quickly becoming a new normal,” AOC tweeted Monday. Somebody needs to tell her that Washington D.C. has flooded before, so there is, in fact, a “precedent.” It happens all the time.
She doesn’t want to be bothered by facts. Those only get in the way of her anti-cow climate change agenda. Not only that, it’s all the republican’s fault.
“Republicans are tripling down on fossil fuels w/no plan to transition off them, or make the critical infra investments we need to prep for the climate crisis.”
If everyone doesn’t start driving an electric car by next week, then we’re looking at water world. “Each day of inaction puts more of us in danger.”
One of her followers replied, “how long till she compares it to Noah’s flood? Then @Rashida Tlaib will jump to say Noah was actually a Palestinian.”
Amber Athey pointed out that:
“flooding has always been normal in DC. It is built on several major waterways — some of the city was originally underwater and was filled in prior to construction. It has everything to do with geographical location.”
Even her progressive followers weren’t drinking the Kool-aid this time. Luke Rosiak posted:
“My opinion: Climate change is real, man-made, linked to today’s flooding, and must be urgently addressed. But if you actually care about this as an important issue, you wouldn’t exploit it as a vehicle for racial politics and Trojan horse for socialism.”
Unprecedented flooding is quickly becoming a new normal.
Despite that, Republicans are tripling down on fossil fuels w/no plan to transition off them, or make the critical infra investments we need to prep for the climate crisis.

The best retort came from a meteorologist. Atlanta, Georgia’s Dr. Ryan Maue.
“First a tornado and now a flash flood,” Maue said referring to AOC’s incorrect belief that a recent tornado in the area was a direct result of climate change. No idea what she means with ‘casual tornadoes’ and how this line of severe thunderstorms is proof of any ‘climate crisis,’ It’s just the weather in D.C.”
He added separately, “she’s right that cities need to invest in infrastructure but a slow-moving t-storm isn’t ‘climate'”
First a tornado and now a flash flood.
The Congresswoman does not miss an opportunity to turn a weather event she experiences into a political statement and blame Republicans.
