A “straight pride” group will be receiving it’s license to hold an event in Boston August 31.
On Wednesday, parade organizers “Super Happy Fun America” held a press conference to announce that their controversial parade application was approved.
Straight people have rights too, John Hugo insists. The leader of the hetero-fest told local reporters it’s time for heterosexuals to come out of the closet:
“We want people to be aware that there is not only one side of things. There’s a lot of people that are uncomfortable with a lot of things that are going on in our country and they’re afraid to speak up.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was afraid of that.
Will “Straight Pride” be a Freaky Friday type situation where all of our history books, movies, stories, media, news, etc feature mostly LGBTQ+ people & perspectives?
Will people have to come out as straight?
What would folks march in? Socks w/ sandals on? Dad jeans? https://t.co/7SUiWHWRMd

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh couldn’t stop them from marching “based on what they believe,” that’s not fair. He’s certainly not planning on attending though. Permits are granted based on operations, not beliefs or values.
The group had previously been denied the opportunity to fly a “straight pride” flag. City Hall insists they have the right to pick and choose what particular flags go up their flagpole.
If the idea of celebrating heterosexuality wasn’t disturbing enough, riots may possibly be on the horizon once Antifa gets wind that the “inflammatory” conservative Milo Yiannopoulos will be the Grand Marshall.
Liberal celebrity Chris Evans started off a tweetstorm with this progressive post:
Wow, the number gay/straight pride parade false equivalencies are disappointing. For those who don’t understand the difference, see below. Instead of going immediately to anger(which is actually just fear of what you don’t understand)take a moment to search for empathy and growth https://t.co/e98K0Z150T

Steven Colbert is also against the idea, here’s a clip of his rainbow tinted views.
