by Daveda Gruber:

On Friday President Trump said he has finished answering written questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The answers have not been submitted yet.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, “I haven’t submitted them yet…I just finished them.”

The answers are written as answers to questions about whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump has repeatedly denied any such collusion with Moscow/Russians.

Trump said, “I was asked a series of questions. I’ve answered them very easily.”

He added that one has to “always be careful when you answer questions with people that probably have bad intentions.”

The president has not said when he would turn over the answers to Mueller.

The special counsel had given indication of a willingness to accept written answers on matters of collusion.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s attorney, has said repeatedly that the president would not answer Mueller’s questions on possible obstruction of justice.

Trump had talked privately with lawyers at the White House this week. Trump has made it clear in saying, “My lawyers don’t write answers, I write answers.”

The president initiated a new round of attacks on the probe. He said, “there should have never been any Mueller investigation.” He claimed that it was a waste of millions of dollars.

Trump denied being “agitated” by the probe in spite of his outburst of critical tweets the day before.

Trump Tweeted:

The special counsel was publicly quiet before last week’s midterm elections. Mueller investigation has suddenly returned to the head of Washington conversation and news outlets.

Rumors are rumbling that Mueller may be preparing more indictments. There has also been extensive media coverage of two Trump allies. They are Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi. They both say they expect to be charged.

Trump’s Twitter activity has not stopped especially in regard to targeting the special counsel even though his aides have warned him to stop.

Should Trump stop tweeting? I’d like to know what you think.
