Jeffrey M Gresio:
The woman’s movement which can be traced back to the beginning of America and later the suffragette movement; started as a fight for equal rights under the law and the right to vote. Beginning in the 20th century, it started morphing into a different beast entirely. Guided by the likes of Margaret Sanger, Gloria Steinem, Helen Gurley Brown to name a few. It was one of the earliest groups to jump on to the social justice band wagon, taking a left turn down the road of progessivism in the name of equality.
During the sixties and at the center of the sexual revolution, the age of the PILL, and the forming of N.O.W., #feminist were decrying the crude, crass, exploitation and sexualization of women by men. This while declaring the right to make sex objects of themselves. They began taking the objectification of women to its lowest level, declaring their right to do whatever they wanted to their own bodies. After all, girls just want to have fun.
And as with any cause that has as its final and ultimate aim, debasing humans and their humanity, the Democrats were swift in championing the cause reaching a crescendo in 1973 with Roe V. Wade.
However, allowing women to kill their own offspring wasn’t enough. In the name of achieving total equality with men the exsanguination of what it means to be a woman had begun. The Left had set its sights on blood letting to drain every bit of what it means to be feminine from the woman experience in the name of #Feminism.
Jumping forward to today, here is where we are and what feminism has achieved for women. A man was awarded woman of the year. A definite feather in the cap of women everywhere. Men, by self declaration and identification with women, can compete against and with women in sports. no debasement or humiliation to be seen here. Men are now allowed in women’s bathrooms. A small step for women but, a giant step for women’s privacy. There are now 48 declared genders with the goal to eradicate genders completely in society; eviscerating every last vestige of what it means to be a woman. #Women now find accomplishment in being nasty and sluts. The fulfillment and dream of parents everywhere for their little girls, I’m sure. A banner of pride, if ever I saw one. They wear vaginas on their heads and tampons for jewelry as statements of expression. They are gratified and empowered by using the “C” word in public forums and media to denigrate each other. They are gradually being forced to accept a rape culture and genital mutilation in the name of being accepting and accommodating of other cultures. All this in the name of progress for women’s rights. You’ve come a long way baby. And of course no more having to show their beauty, elegance and grace at the Miss America Pageant. Way to make a stand! Hated those formal gowns and bathing suits. They will be replaced by 500 word essays on Saul Alinsky’s, Rules for Radicals and, The Communist Manifesto, helping to bring world peace and good will to people kind..
I miss the days when women use to embrace their feminism, the pride of being a woman and a lady, and all that, that entailed. When they understood the power of their feminine wiles and knew how to use them. I miss all the things about women that set them apart from men. I think it has been to the detriment of women to desire to see themselves on par with men; disrupting God’s grand design. In so many ways women were better than men to begin with. They have had to climb down from their pedestals to be on our level. And it ain’t pretty!
