An attempt to impeach President Trump was devastatingly rejected by The House of Representatives. Liberal Texas congressman forced a vote on his endeavor.
Democratic Representative Al Green introduced two articles of impeachment against Trump on Wednesday.
Green has repeatedly called for the president’s removal.
Lawmakers, without delay, voted to effectively kill his resolution. The vote was 364 voting to finish it and 58 Democrats voting to move ahead.
In a dramatic speech on the floor before the vote, Green called Trump “unfit” for office and accused him of “high misdemeanors.”
The Republican controlled House had expected the symbolic vote and it had been expected to fail. It did put some lawmakers in competitive districts in a rough spot by forcing them to put their position on impeachment on the record.
Lawmakers did not actually vote on the actual articles of impeachment. What they did was vote on a procedural measure that would have led to a vote on them.
Green brought up “White Nationalism, Neo-Nazism and Hate,” as well as “Inciting Hatred and Hostility,” as reasons for impeachment.
When will they learn that to impeach, you need reason and an opinion by Green is not a good reason for impeachment.
